I edited it to reflect the current state of the document (amendment). If there are no objections within 24 hours of the "Legislator" proposal, or we reach unanimous consent, we'll adopt this and move on to the substance of the thing. Again, if anyone has issues with style, PLEASE speak up.

I'm fine with the "Legislator" wording.

So, we have unanimous consent. The Amendment has been adopted.

There's a lot more to address, but I'll get to that later Tongue

I motion for a 48 hour period where Comitee members can submit proposed ammendments to the constitution, then after the 48 hours have concluded we will debate each ammendment one at a time , in the order they are proposed.

As a technical matter, the Atlasian Proportional Representation Act (F.L. 21-2) no longer exists, so you can't refer to it in Article I, Section 4, Clause iv.  I don't know what mechanism can be used to define PR-STV in its absence until the Congress or the Fremont Assembly passes a law defining it.  I suppose you could say the former Atlasian Proportional Representation Act or something of the like.

Something I was going to amend.

There's a lot to do here:
-Schedule Senate elections
-What cinyc said. I'd support saying they'd be "specified by law."
-An implementation clause: will we, say, revert to the laws of a certain state when we implement the Constitution?
-I'd also consider being a bit more discerning about our legislative process, regarding who can submit legislation: perhaps we allow anyone to submit, but require a sponsor in the Assembly?

Regardless, if there are no objections to AZ's motion within 24 hours we'll consider it adopted. I'm traveling ATM, but I think I can make time to write these things up.

Sorry I didn't say this earlier -- AZ's motion was adopted. The 48-hour period began 24 hours after the motion was made.

I propose the following two amendments (Articles IX and X are separate amendments)

Obviously, Article X is a placeholder until we figure out what to do regarding implementation and what laws, if any, the Region should revert to.

I introduce the following resolution:

Scheduling of Senatorial Elections:
1. Due to the clause of the Senatorial election scheduling resolution previously passed by this body specififying that Class I Senate elections are to be held concurrently with the Presidential, the regularly scheduled Senate election for June will be held concurrently with the Presidential election regardless of the status of the Fremont Constitution at the time.

I will introduce more stuff later, as I need to sleep (yes, you read right). Apologies for procrastination

Seeing no objection, the resolution has been adopted. The Senatorial election will occur at the designated time.

Indeed. I'm back from vacation (thank God) and should be able to propose additional amendments later today. We can get this wrapped up very soon if we don't screw up.

The amendment has been adopted.

I'll go through this with a fine-tooth-comb one more time tomorrow. Then we can start finally finishing things up.
