Grassley/Santorum would be a stronger ticket. Santorum comes across as an extremist, and he doesn't even live in Pennsylvania anymore. While Grassley is right-wing, he sounded MUCH better in his campaign ads last fall. Grassley visits all 99 counties in Iowa at least once a year and drives a 1986 Oldsmobile Delta 88 to do so. Santorum can be portrayed as out-of-touch and an opportunist, while the labels would be MUCH harder to pin on Grassley.
