With Trump having tepid support at best from many in the GOP base, might Hillary sense an opening in mentioning the Libertarian ticket as a "formidable opponent" and generally name-dropping Johnson to try to get him a bigger national profile?

Likewise, might Trump talk about how any sane liberal should just vote for Stein if they can't stomach Clinton?

She would be better off bringing up the Constitution Party, since Johnson-Weld could draw at least some support from disaffected Dems and left-leaning independents.

That might work if the LP had picked another Barr/Root type ticket.
