I was in a Yahoo Group that talked about the Lichtman Keys during the 2000 election and was running up to the 2004 election. Someone posted a link to Atlas in early 2004 and I took a look. The group faded out but I've stayed with Atlas because it gets into some excellent conversations on political history and systems, as well as having the best political map set on the web.

Just for fun here's my oldest post.
Agrarian and farmer's parties were a powerful political force in the states of the upper midwest during the late 1800's. These populist parties often banded (fused) with one of the two national parties to get the majority in an election.

One fusion remnant still actively survives to the present. In Minnesota the Farmer-Labor Party merged with the Democrats. The party label there today still says DFL.

I don't remember.  Either it was through a Google search or a mention in some random blog.

I do know that I was already familiar with Dave's Redistricting App, so I was probably look for redistricting map proposals (circa 2013).

Google. Was looking up 2012 possibilities in like 2009 or 2010. Found a Rush Limbaugh vs. Michael Moore matchup on the What-Ifs? board and my life was ruined forever.

There should be an option for "the user that I am a sock for told me about it."

I found the EV Calculator on AH.com, eventually I must have misclicked something at the top or wondered what the forum was. Most unfortunate misclick ever for Atlas, because now you are all stuck with me.

I think I should credit PBrunsel's timelines with my decision to stick around. Too bad he went inactive before I registered.

I got to the Atlas by following a link from Wikipedia while researching US Presidential election (this was during the 2008 campaign). For a while I explored the Atlas, then I ended up purchasing membership, making my own prediction maps etc. I think I noticed the "forum" tab some time after the election. I lurked for a while and then, when I was on break and had some time on my hands, finally decided to join.

Voted option 5.

I needed a couple of election maps of Washington for a research project, so I got them from the Atlas (yes, I cited the site). Then I made some predictions, and then noticed the forums.

Google searching election results, specifically questions about certain states and counties and forum threads came up.
