Fiorina would be better suited at the top of the ticket. She was brutally effective against Trump in the few debates that she was allowed in, and many Conservative women would flock to her to escape from Trump.

LoL no. Carly Fiorina, like Barbara Boxer's hair in 2010, is sooo yesterday.

They couldn't beat Trump in a GOP primary in a red state. I think that speaks for itself.

Fiorina singing and falling down the stairs would be played over and over again.

No chance.

Forget about it.

Cruz rebuilding his status in the Senate should be his top priority.

In the few debates???
She was present in every debate but the first until she dropped out and hardly anyone noticed her presence.

Mostly in the Kiddie debates, without Trump. She shone in the few grown-up debates that she was allowed into against Trump. For example:

I kind of agree here.  As a third party candidate leading the ticket, she could fluster Trump.  Her campaign floundered in no small part because she's not likeable, but she's an excellent debater and communicator, and Trump would have to deal with the specific points she raised, or blatantly look like he's being evasive.

As for the Cruz-Fiorina ticket:  Their only chance would be to become the nominee of the Republican Party in a number of Mountain West states that (A) are heavily Republican and (B) are the most disposed to the kind of conservative Cruz is.  After doing that, they would have to run a campaign where no candidate would make it to 270 EV, at which case that Congress would select a Presidential candidate.  It is quite possible that the HOUSE Republicans, who will likely control a majority of state delegations, would choose to elect Cruz, if he's the "conservative" to go this route.  But if the GOP #NeverTrump folks were serious about this, they'd probably pick someone more likeable than Ted Cruz.  (I acknowledge that the chances for this happening are microscopic.)

She'd do very well. We need more women like her!

If she weren't a warmonger and a liar, I'd think more of her.  She's one of the worst candidates running in terms of warmongering.

Cruz would be idiotic to do this.  If he stays quiet and plays his cards behind the scenes, he can lock up the 2020 nomination.  All he needs to do is get TX and most other Southern/Plains states to allocate their delegates WTA while the rest of the country goes pure proportional.

Possibly.  Cruz's campaign ended poorly.  He got waxed by Donald Trump.  How's he going to do if Trump isn't a factor and we're back to "normal" Repubican candidates?  Furthermore, how would he beat an incumbent Hillary Clinton?

His status as a loathed pariah?
