This has been on my mind lately. Could she run for president in the near future? I think she may but than again who knows.

If that's what it took to get Hillary out of prison, sure.

Anything is possible, including Trump becoming the GOP nominee.

Depends on what happens with Hillary. She'll probably run for Congress one day and be a shoo-in. Then she'll likely run for Senate (maybe Governor) where she'll be heavily favored. And once she has a high-profile position, she's going to attract a lot of national attention, so as long as she does well in the spotlight, assuming she decides to get involved in politics, I think she has a reasonably high chance of running.

The Clintons will probably end up like the Kennedys. A dynasty worshiped by people who work for the DNC but largely a piece of history normal people don't think about. She may be able to win a safe congressional seat if she wants it. People will talk about appointing her to things. She'll never run for anything big though because she would just get crushed. Especially once the "first female" gimmick is gone.

Also similar to the Kennedy's in that the progeny (Chelsea) is way, way less talented than her parents

If I have to endure another white Protestant in the White House after Hillary, I might just have to end it.

Likely no.  Chelsea seems like the shiest of the young presidential children.  It certainly looks like she doesn't enjoy the fray.  Either of the Obama daughters or Jenna Bush would be far more likely IMO.  Also Jason Carter, but he's a grandson and would have to win a statewide race in GA first.

I would love to see Jason Carter run on a platform of promising to surreptitiously tape politicians.

The last thing we need is another affirmative action President.

I'm a proud Barron hack, so if she's as corruptible as her mother, run Chelsea!

She'll never run for public office. Wrong personality for a dynastic contender. Dems lost their dynastic chance in 1999.

It is a bit annoying that people tends to assume that every presidential child is bound to enter politics eventually. If we look at each presidential family, then it's not really that common.

If she does, then the "dynasty" whiners will finally have a point.

She'll be involved with her family's foundation and help grow its legacy. I don't really see her getting into politics though.

No. Her bread has already been buttered. She'll have all the money she ever needs. She'll have access to power if she needs it through her family's foundation. So what would be the point of getting into politics? If she has a genuine, benevolent desire to help people, that is better accomplished through philanthropy and nonprofit work.

Chelsea will be on a bunch of nonprofit boards, maybe do something like be the president of a NYC college for a few years (Barnard? The New School?) and give a bunch of TED talks.
