Delegates, welcome to the Broncos Stadium in Denver, CO, West!

We'll start with the sign-up of the members ([MSI]), then there will be an endorsement vote for the Presidential race and for the Senate races ([END]). After the endorsement vote, we'll address general party business and motions about the future of the party, the platform, the by-laws ([GEN]).

CR rules about endorsements:

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

Presidential candidates have 48 hours for requesting CR's endorsements.
All Senate candidates will be on the endorsement ballot without any request, but speeches are welcome!

Using the opportunity given to me, I humbly ask the Civic Renewal for their endorsement in the Southern Senate race. CR is a home party to many terrific people I know and work with on the issues that face Atlasia, and I would consider it to be a great honor if it would support me in my quest to represent people of the South and their interests in Nyman.

Hello! It would be an honor to receive Civic Renewal’s support for the Class II Southern seat. I have the most experience in this race, a strong record of activity and believe my values and ideology closely aligns with yours. I’m a pragmatic conservative who recognizes that there are good policies that range from left to right and will support what I feel is best for the South. I would be happy to answer any questions that members may have.

Hello! I am here to ask for the endorsement of Civic Renewal for President.

Both me and my running mate, former President Lumine, have the experience, enthusiasm, and ideas to lead Atlasia into this new era and beyond. While unlike Lumine, I am not a member of this party, I have a record of working together with those on the left, right, and center, and I never let partisanship get in the way of finding sensible solutions for Atlasia.

If any members have questions on why they should endorse my candidacy, feel free to ask them!

In order to do that, you should register as a CR member in the New Register Thread. Smiley

I also believe we should refrain from endorsing a Presidential ticket at this time.

Looking forward to a vigorous discussion.

The by-laws don't provide endorsement election for the gubernatorial election. For this type of election, the CR candidate is automatically endorsed.

The gubernatorial election is contested by more than 1 candidate, but I think that phrase is referring to At-Large Senate elections where there were more than 5 candidates.

I honestly believe that endorsing a Presidential ticket is directly contrary to the party's best interests.

Uh, you guys aren't going to endorse the ticket that has a member of your party running for Vice-President?

I think we should endorse the ticket with Lumine on.
Lumine is a great public servant, he worked and is still working hard for the party and for the nation.

I don't think that endorsing the Leinad/Lumine ticket will change anything on the project of the new party. The project all of us agree on is a new third party, open to all moderates, populars, independents and people of centre/centre-right.

At the risk of sounding self-serving, I would indeed like to request the party's support, believing that said endorsement is not detrimental or opposed to the the larger goal of creating a new party.

Ultimately, Leinad represents an excellent chance to have an active, committed and experienced President in the White House, with a project, a team and clear goals behind him now that we need to reform Atlasia in a whole new ball game. Our ticket, I believe, is a serious effort capable of both standing ground and being reasonable and mature in governing, and I think it represents many of the values, ideals, goals and so on that we share in common.

The vice presidential pick is much better than the top of the ticket.

I believe that the new Thomas Dewey isn't nearly as good an idea to endorse as the old one would be unless our goal is to unite moderates and libertarians, which is not a stated goal.
