Err, not sure where this comes from? I'm a big supporter of recognizing the Armenian genocide (normal) for reasons I recently laid out in the Dutch thread. Good for Germany, although SAD that Merkel is too afraid of Erdogan to be present (and Steinmeier too, I read?)

Do you hear that? Do, do you hear that?

Yes, those are Turkish nationalists butts bleeding. I can't wait for angry comments on the Internet.

How likely is a green-CDU/CSU coalition looking right now?

Likely in 2017, if they win a majority. I just hope there won't be a grand coalition anymore. That's bad for democracy.

Merkel and Gabriel were absent during the vote, because they don't want to offend Erdogan. Weak leaders!

I love German political schizophrenia. First they agree to prosecute a guy who angered Sultan Erdogan, then they are recognizing the Armenian genocide.

Why is this such an issue? I literally don't care if they call it genocide or not, it happened and everyone agreed that it wasn't cool.

He's absolutely right. At least in the universe where I played Abdul Hamid II in Lumine's "Balance of Power".

"Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians?"- A very, very bad man whose nation just recognized it.

Good that Germany acknowledged their own complicity in the genocide. Not that it has stopped Turkey from accusing them of hypocrisy.

Massive Freedom Decision. I don't care if it's "symbolic": symbols sometimes are very important. Standing up to the utter vileness of Turkish nationalism at a time when it is more arrogant than ever certainly is.
