Germany just did, and based on that Obama Doctrine article that came out in the Atlantic, Obama thinks Erdogan is a little bitch who isn't helping in the middle east and probably wouldn't do anything about it.  Lord knows Obama's probably sick of playing this game.  Why not just come out in December and declare that the United States recognizes the Armenian genocide as a genocide?  Seems like a very Obama thing to do.

I knew someone would bring up Golden Dawn if I said that. Just because I happen to share one minor political view with them, doesn't mean that I agree with them on other things. I'd love if he did (I'm Armenian American). However, Turkey is a strategic ally and I don't see it happening for a long time.

If Turkey were willing to acknowledge its past (Like Germany does) this would be handled. Unfortunately, The Turkish government refuses to find the courage to do this.
