He didn't technically endorse Trump, he just said he'd vote for him. That's a distinction that exists only among Republicans in congress.

The first mention of Trump in his 'endorsement' editorial was 11 paragraphs in.

Well, this settles it. Ryan is an immoral, unprincipled, stupid son of a b.tch.

I'm now embarrassed that I used to respect him. Voting for Trump, a good man he is not.

Ryan really had no choice.

He supports Trump, the nominee of his party, or he resigns as Speaker.

How can the highest elected Republican in the country not support the nominee of his party?

How can a decent person be part of a party that nominates someone like Donald Trump?

You can't go on and on about conservative principles and then casually decide to support Donald Trump for president. This just proves that the Republican Party's real source of anger the past eight years stemmed from having a Black in the White House.

I'd have some respect for the people like Ryan if they had all just announced they were starting a new party (the Conservative Party?) and would no longer be Republicans. If enough of them were willing to do it (like at least 25% of GOP members in Congress), they'd end up taking a lot of the GOP's donors away with them too.

I would suggest that the moment of Truth has arrived. All those decent posters here, who still retain blue avatars should remove them, at least, till November. The Republican Party has been taken over by a monster, and has now willingly folded all its remaining resistance to him. If you are still a Republican between now and November, you willingly undertake the responsibility for this.

This is absolute garbage. Do you really think Republicans would feel this way if Condi Rice were the President? Or Tim Scott? Doubtful. It's because of his liberalism. Not the color of his skin.

Perhaps it's both. I agree that the color of Obama's skin has definitely affected how the GOP has treated him over the years. From day one they had decided to block his every move.
