This message board has really vaulted insane left. Like...bad. I can't continue to risk a heart attack due to the political trolling of liberals.

Farewell, friends.

Naso, stay healthy. We need your vote in November. Ohio will be critical. Bless you and The Movement. You'll be missed, but hopefully we see you again in better times.

If the door hits you on your way out, don't forget to blame it on the political trolling of liberals.

Asking any objective Atlas users - Has this forum actually moved significantly towards one ideology or the other over the past 1 - 2 years? Because if this in any way has anything to do with Trump, I'd like to think that no one here is confusing a general intolerance for a sham candidate like Trump with moving left.

Quite substantially, yes, especially if you look at this plus AAD.

AAD is hard-left, yes, but I don't think the change has been that apparent in Old Atlas.  It's just that the GOP has been more split.

When Keystone Phil left that was the nail in the coffin. Now Naso's gone too. Even I'm about to be a registered Democrat. But I understand the split argument. The ones I used to respect are all moderates against Trump for some reason.

Honestly I don't think this place is hard left at all. Not saying I think it's moderate either, but hard left is a stretch. Reading actual leftist media and then this forum, it's hard not to see the difference, imo. Though, I guess how far left it is sort of a subjective viewpoint. Depends where you think the center is.

That said, if center-right/right-leaning individuals keep leaving, then that would be a shame. I like the discussions here and turning into a liberal echo chamber really doesn't seem like a stimulating future for Atlas.

I've never felt unwelcome as a Republican on here. There are trolls like evergreen who make it unpleasant, but most people are nice and respectful. The biggest problem I have is with the sham Trump RINOs on here, but I hope they stay too.

If you think this forum is hard left I'd hate to imagine what you'd think of AH.com.

I think there's a good amount of Republicans on here. I'm arguably one of the more conservative anti-trump republicans here, but not by much.

I just think ReaganFan, who seems like a good guy, is a bit stuck in the 2004 GOP.

The most irritating posters, to me at least, are some of the Independent/Other posters who either: 1. try to play both sides 2. are here to troll 3. try to be edgy

November can't come soon enough.

I think we'll all be a bit calmer after this election is over.

This forum is basically Salon, now, whereas before it was the Young Turks.

I can't help but feel like the activity levels will implode in 2017 since there is no major election going on to stir up a frenzy of discussions Sad

It always happens, and it's a good thing. The people interesting enough to read will stick around, which should improve quality.

On the contrary, if Trump wins things will only get worse on here.

No.  Those are just the loud voices who call out people.  The Republicans are far more conciliatory to Democrats here than vice versa (you can argue whether or not it's justified, but this is just a fact).  Overall, we're center-left, but not Salon level.  That trash defends pedophiles, which I don't think any of our leftists would.

I'm not really sure whether the forum significantly towards one ideology during said time, but it's clear that certain people voting certain sentiments became more frequent.

I registered in July 2009 and even back them it was argued that the forum community trends to the left, but we always had a fair share of conservatives.
