Check her out: http://www.tiffani.ca/

Born and raised in South Carolina in a Republican family, she travelled around the world before deciding to live in Canada, because of Canadian social democratic values. Now she is a lawyer, and a "citizen by choice" and is running for the NDP nomination in Ottawa Centre to replace former leader Ed Broadbent. I went to the debate tonight, and it was funny, but cool to hear her southern drawl. She sounded like Laura Bush, but with a positive social democratice message.

I should also note, she doesn't have much of a shot at the nomination. The front runners are Paul Dewar (son of former mayor Marion Dewar) and Jamey Heath, who is an NDP hack.
