Do it! Overthrow the will of the voters! It's will be soooo hilarious to watch her get what she deserves.

Lol, that would be about the best way you could hand Trump the election.  Overriding the popular vote of millions of voters to give the nomination to a crazy old Socialist.

Also just imagine the racial factor.  Black leaders would have a cow, taking away the nomination from the candidate who won the black vote.

I am sure there could be a couple of superdelegates who might do this. May be even, I do not know, 10 of them.

The beauty of this sentence is that it is, probably, true, without meaning anything.

certainly possible that a good number of them will switch, but not nearly enough to give sanders the nomination, i don't think.

This is crap. After how Sanders has gone on the attack against the DNC and establishment, it's not even remotely likely any superdelegate would switch to him. And besides, the superdelegates are not going to do anything as crazy as overturn the pledged delegate result, especially not for someone like Sanders.

Man, I loved August 2015 too. Before Trump won, before Sanders got 45% of the vote. Boy, wasn't it great when we dismissed them out of hand?

A few might, but there's no way a majority or even a sizable amount will, unless he wins with more than 85% of the vote. If by some chance he does win by that much, I will hail the denizens of r/sandersforpresident as flawless analysts.

The three words within the parentheses (and change "possible" to "likely") are the most valid from the OP

ofc the ideäl result would be if ~200 superdelegates flipped, which would bring the superdelegates in line with popular vote totals and thus neatly defuse a lot of the inevitable rage about "rigged elections" etc.

Shuster, the washed-out anchor who was suspended by MSNBC in 2008 when he said that Hillary was "pimping out" Chelsea because she was a surrogate for her mother's campaign, and is currently unemployed.

Besides that, the tweet is two days old and, even more importantly a few hours later he hedged saying that they may not actually switch but that they leaked their intentions to send a message(?) to the Clinton campaign.

Was that him?  I remember reading in Game Change that Hillary absolutely blew a gasket over that one.  I think it made her even angrier than when Claire McCaskill said she wouldn't let Bill near her daughter.

Agreed. Bernie is right to point out the flaws of a system in which so many superdelegates are committed prior to any primary or caucus having taken place; it would be ideal for those folks to end up being in line with popular vote totals.

Therefore making the whole point of superdelegates moot. Which is good. But this is just Berniebot goal-post shifting.
