For a second I thought that he ordered them to halt state business with all groups that did business in Israel and was buying into the whole left-wing BDS thing.  After all, he has been trying to lead the way on implementing kooky ideas from the left for a while now.  And I was like, WTF??  Then I saw it was the opposite... I don't see how it's unconstitutional.  It's essentially a state boycott of a boycott.  Creating a list of businesses and organizations alleged to be supporting BDS that can only be removed through appeal is downright bizarre.

BDS might actually stand a vague chance of success if they didn't make very clear at every opportunity that their real target was American Jews who are made to feel unsafe in their own country. But they do, therefore they reap the consequences. BDS should be treated the same way as the American Family Association or other hate groups, and this is a very good start.

Especially since they're fond of calling for the expulsion of "Zionist students" and the firing of "Zionist professors", as happened at CUNY.

Cuomo is a mixed bag, but I'm glad he's on the side of the good guys on the big issues, such as this and his constant trolling of the Sandanista Mayor of NYC.
