Inspired by BRTD's comments in the Muhammad Ali thread.

Mixing things up to include both legal and illegal dodging. To note, Donald Trump and Bill Clinton are legal dodgers, Ali was a illegal dodger.

Only really the rich were "legal" dodgers as you say. Ali did it for a cause as most "illegal" dodgers did. I am not in support of breaking the law (or the draft), but I would hope they dodged for the right reasons/cause.

On the other hand, the "legal" dodgers seem to only have an intent of saving their own hides and not being anti-war or anything, for that i consider them HP's.

Yeah, draft dodging in WW2 is a bit different than draft dodging in WW1 or Korea or Vietnam.

Depends on the war. For Vietnam, Mega FFs. But for, say, WWII, illegal ones are HPs.

I'm assuming we mean Vietnam here, so, yes, Mega FF

Legal or illegal isn't relevant to me, motives are. If somebody is motivated by a sincere moral opposition to war for religious or secular reasons I respect them and they are FF. If they're motivated by selfish reasons or refuse to fight a war that they themselves support they are HP.

I'd say FF for both unless the war is a really good cause.

Neither. I'm not going to either ennoble or condemn someone who makes a personal choice to potentially save their own life.

The government does not have the right to seize people and put them in harm's way against their will.
