As for what Sen. Warren had to say, I cannot identify a single falsehood in any of it. Trump is a genuine threat to the rule of law, not to mention the Bill of Rights clear protection of press freedom and freedom from cruel and unusual punishment. He possesses neither the knowledge nor the regard for the centrality and importance of the rule of law in this country. This is not a left versus right or Democrat versus Republican issue. This is an American versus self-centered, self-interested, tyrant-in-waiting, egomaniac issue. Anyone who genuinely identifies as a Conservative should flee from any association with this man and his attacks on judges and reverence for bloodthirsty dictators.

2) she's genuinely terrified that trump might be elected
3) she's auditioning to be VP

I would say there is perhaps at least a little truth to all four of these, although No. 1 is probably more like "she absolutely hates Trump."  Trump is the kind of candidate almost designed to infuriate Warren -- a bigoted, bullying, self-entitled con artist who inherited his wealth.  Warren has never been close to Hillaryland but she absolutely wants to contribute to the party effort and raining hell down on Trump is the most obvious way.  Warren has never been afraid of a fight when she thinks the cause is righteous.

With regards to No. 3, I don't think Warren is blatantly auditioning for VP but is at least considering the pros and cons.  She's not shutting the door on the idea.

Your thought of trump's response is much too mild.
His big ego will once again get in the way, and trump's response will be another ethnic/racial/"heritage" attack (blunder).
Something along the lines of saying that Warren has "red skin," or Warren should return to her "reservation," or Warren needs to get her head examined by a "Medicine Man."
