I almost certainly would have been taking the Green Line approach at this point - voting for Jeb and trying to convince everyone that he is actually the liberal choice in the race.

Wouldn't vote in this scenario. If forced, I'd go Stein and then get drunk so I could live with myself in the immediate aftermath.

Jeb Bush would have been a wonderful president. Would have been supporting him enthusiastically.

I'd vote for Gary Johnson (who in that scenario would be taking more democratic votes away than republican ones). Or hopefully Bloomberg or somebody would jump in the race if that were the case.

I've never had a problem supporting third party / fringe candidates, so I'd support Stein or look even further down the ballot.

Find a Democratic version of Trump first, then I'll make up my mind. Mark Cuban? Tom Steyer? Ariana Huffington?

In short: No way in hell would I support Trump pretending to be a dem. With racist and mysogynist he by default disqualifies him from getting my vote. What more, it suggests all this proposals are a sham to try to win over the democratic base just enough to get through the primaries. Any supreme court nominees he picks will be suspect. Basically I'd expect his admin to backstab pretty much everyone who promised to help. Ok we have now have universal health care as right... but surprise its only for white men who pledge loyalty to Trump. Bush is unacceptable as well and would pretty much win in a situation like this. So I might as well vote third party for someone I can at least mostly support and hope we're all not dead by next election.

If Trump were running as a Democrat, he'd be running a much different sort of campaign.

I'd vote for Jebber in a close race, but if Jeb was going to win in a landslide, then GJ.

He'd still be Trump.

You hypothetical Donald Trump (D) appears to have all the stuff I like about him and none of the stuff I dislike about him. Would take that over Bernie, even.

It depends on his positions and personality. For an outsider, who is a businessman, yes. I would have considered that. For a narcissist psychopath? Hell, no.

Easily Trump, though the climate change policy worries me, like it does to me, when he is a Republican.

We had our chance with Al Sharpton in 2004 and soundly rejected him.

A leprechaun would be easier to find than a Democratic version of Trump.

As a left-leaning independent, fully aware of the struggle for women's and LGBT rights, I would pull the lever for Jeb Bush over Donald Trump without hesitation.
