I support a ban based on geography.

You can ban Muslims in Middle East countries connected to terrorism. However, there is no reason to ban Muslims in India, Indonesia, Trinidad & Tobago, or Guyana, etc.

Basically, the problem with Trump's Muslim ban is that it seemingly forgets that 1.6 billion people are Muslims; and not all 1.6 billion are terrorists (or people connected with terrorists).

Muslims in India aren't involved in terror?!  Since when?

I don't agree with Trump's policy but at least it is more consistent than yours.

No, it's illogical policy that wouldn't accomplish its goal. We do need stricter oversight for visitors from countries with significant terror activity, but that's a world away from this.

Am I a horrible person?

Well, yeah, but I still don't support Trump's banning immigration on the basis of religion.

Beside it being an inherently bigoted idea, what exactly would this accomplish?

"Give our govt time to sort all this out." Which means, a permanent ban, since when are we going to sort all this out in any timely manner?

I don't want to wake up one day and find America voted out of its Constitutional liberties.

It is not good for we Americans, of all colors and religions that value liberal democracy and Constitutional liberties.

The enemies of our liberties and our democracy are already here, and they use our liberal democratic institutions to manipulate us.

Glad that the people who voted Yes won't show themselves. Just proves that they're cowards, preaching that the society should be run by the Bible while denouncing the Qur'an. Disgraceful.

Just wondering, would your ban apply to non-Muslims in those countries as well?

Yes, unless they're refugees.

"Temporary" is a hilarious lie.

As if Muslims or anyone would want to come to America once we start kicking people out for their faith. It's no longer America at that point; no longer a bastion of freedom.

This is exactly what the Islamic Fundamentalists want; to destroy the ideals and freedoms that make America the best country on earth. Not surprising that Drumpf and his cavalcade of crazies want it.

I don't think they care about destroying our ideals, actually Ive never heard a terrorist say that.  They just want to kill as many of us as possible.
