I figured I's better post it here since a good number of posters love to mock the "socially liberal but fiscally conservative" thing as "edgy".

Libertarians have used that way of describing their politics for a long time. What's new about this?

Eastern Gary Johnson is socially liberal, while Western Gary Johnson is economically conservative.

BREAKING: GARY JOHNSON IS A LOSER

Yes the libertarian economic policy is surely 'fiscally conservative' and their social policy is definitely 'socially liberal' Roll Eyes

Are you implying that there is a consistent definition of either of those terms?

Fortunately, as a former two term governor for the state of New Mexico, Johnson's policies and positions are fairly well known. Not sure what closet the OP thinks he was hiding in...

A super PAC spearheaded by a longtime ally of former governor William F. Weld’s plans to launch this week, aiming to bolster the Libertarian Party presidential ticket of former New Mexico governor Gary Johnson and Weld.

The group, named the Socially Liberal and Fiscally Conservative PAC, will operate out of Weld’s Boston lobbying firm

I prerfer the definition "fiscally conservative, socially whatever you want (as long as you're not harming anyone)".

Touche. Still 'fiscally conservatism' does not have the ... connotations in my mind as the libertarian agenda.

He's been doing this the whole campaign, which is why the radicals decided to back Perry and McAfee and the cuck usurpers stayed in line behind The Douche.

The radicals backed McAfee and Perry because Johnson isn't a libertarian and has consistently proved to be useless
Johnson is a libertarian, but not a Libertarian Party style libertarian. The LP doesn't have a monopoly on the ideology and they still nominated Johnson after only two ballots, so I think the radicals and those who believe Johnson to be a LINO need to kindly either STFU and vote for the Objectivist ticket or get in line if they ever want DW Perry to be President at all.
