Yes, we know, Newt in power, is just about as dangerous as Trump being in power.

Newt better be careful what he wishes for.
A new version of a House Un-American Activities Committee, that at one time would "go after Nazis," might just very well target trump as their first case.

I feel like the Trump Train isn't even trying to hide their ambition for dystopia anymore.

They don't hide it at all anymore.  They've tapped into the fears of a certain percentage of the population and they're deluded/power hungry enough to think they can ride that into the White House.

Good, good - Newt will need to continue being the ideas man for this campaign clearly as Trump is fresh out.

Newt's solution to literally everything is some form of committee.

"We will create a committee to decide if we should build a new VA hospital in New Hampshire."

"We will form a committee to look into dredging the port of Charleston."

"We will launch a blue ribbon commission to look into a colony on Mars."

I wonder if Joe McCarthy has a favorable rating among Republicans. Probably.

Newt is an ass (obvious, but needs to be said).

Gingrich is great with (and absolutely loves) two things: animals and space. Anything else he's awful on, so I think he should be either a NASA guy or the Cabinet position of National Zookeeper should be created.

I feel like most of them nowadays think that McCarthy failed and that communists are still infiltrating the government.

Wasn't that Reinhold Niebuhr's main issue with McCarthy?
