I always wonder how meetings like this go.

Is it niceties with winks and nods? Or just flat out raw politics?

Hopefully she's going Frank (or Claire) Underwood on him.

I've never heard Bernie to be anything but very frank.

I don't think it's niceties with winks and nods with Bernie. He's not that kind of guy. I think he's laying it on the line with Hillary...."You need to do this and this and this, and then I'll think about backing you...."

"But I can't tell my base how to vote."

Too true. Why I've personally never though of Bernie as a particularly effective leader.

Apologies that the left isn't the personality cult people make it out to be Tongue

They've both gotten in their motorcades and driven off without a word. Uh oh.

Was there a joint press conference announced for this?

I know that Sanders has a large conference call with all his supporters scheduled for Thursday evening.

I guess his "Since I got 45% of the delegates I should be President 45% of the time" gambit didn't go over well.

Sorry that making concessions for party unity is too much for you : (.

Luckily, you aren't Sec. Clinton.

If you think about it, the following that developed around Bernie could have easily happened to any other older Progressive stalwart.

A joint press conference where Sanders drops out and endorses Clinton?

Hope springs eternal, I guess.

That was never going to happen, atleast not with Hillary there. And not at 10:30pm at night. If Bernie is dropping out, its probably going to be Thursday.

I would have been shocked - Sanders wants the adoration of his followers one last time, then he'll heel.

It's late. I don't blame them for not wanting to talk to the press.

Hey, my dude isn't going to be President, and if the Party plays nice I might even vote for their nominee despite that.

The party needs to play nice though, which is my point.

According to what I've read, they've been playing nice with Bernie all along. He's just as unrealistic as his base is and hasn't been able to appreciate it. Wants more than he's earned, given the scope of the past 20 years or so that he hasn't been a Democrat.

Okay, well, don't make concessions if you like. But I sure hope you want an orange haired narcissist as President in that case.

I sure don't.

Absolutely! Bernie won't contest the Dem nomination, and will work to defeat Trump.
