I always wonder how meetings like this go.

Is it niceties with winks and nods? Or just flat out raw politics?

I don't think it's niceties with winks and nods with Bernie. He's not that kind of guy. I think he's laying it on the line with Hillary...."You need to do this and this and this, and then I'll think about backing you...."

"But I can't tell my base how to vote."

I guess his "Since I got 45% of the delegates I should be President 45% of the time" gambit didn't go over well.

Sorry that making concessions for party unity is too much for you : (

Luckily, you aren't Sec. Clinton.
You can't have it both ways.

Hey, my dude isn't going to be President, and if the Party plays nice I might even vote for their nominee despite that.

The party needs to play nice though, which is my point.

According to what I've read, they've been playing nice with Bernie all along. He's just as unrealistic as his base is and hasn't been able to appreciate it. Wants more than he's earned, given the scope of the past 20 years or so that he hasn't been a Democrat.

I trust Hillary to do what she feels is the right thing in this case.

Sad, there's goes the last mainstream candidate  that cared about the people more than him/herself.

Untrue. There will be many more good candidates coming in the future. Bernie is just blazing a trail that others will follow. He's old, but the ones up and coming will be younger and still full of fire. You wait and see.

Us old folks are preparing to hand over the mantle soon....maybe next time around.
