Weren't superdelegates made a thing in the response to the '68 Chicago DNC ruckus?  Pretty sure that if there weren't superdelegates, it would've happened again. 

I honestly don't care about how certain parties pick their nominee, but they should make it uniform.  The main problem is lack of choice of party.
