Since most people obviously prefer Clinton to Stein (or do they?), I thought that it would be interesting to see how a match between these two candidates would go, here.

I would think Johnson would get about 60% here.

This isn't a hypothetical. I am not suggesting a hypothetical matchup, I am asking which candidate you prefer and would rather see win. Obviously most of you don't think Johnson will be our next president and I am not suggesting he will be, just asking which candidate is more appealing. Some of you will be voting for Trump, some for Johnson, others will not.

If I didn't have a day job, I'd go all Sanchez on this and list everything preferable to Trump from Aarkscog-Scott syndrome to Zager and Evans.

Johnson 2/3 of the vote.

Since most people obviously prefer Clinton to Stein (or do they?)

No one actually wants Stein, but it is the only way to express dissatisfaction with Hillary.

To a lesser extent, the same is true of Johnson. A few people would actually want him as President because there are some crazy Libertarians out there in the internets, but most would just find him too weird in the end.

OK, but this isn't it a hypothetical. Johnson and Stein are on the ballot in enough states to win. Not likely that either of them would, but they are an option that a lot of people, perhaps millions will chose, like it or not.

Johnson is more level headed, calm and acts with dignity and respect in all of his dealings.

He is an elequant diplomat and a consumate professional.

So I voted Trump.

Pure firebrand.

Rather see Trump win because he would utterly destroy Republicans across the nation and help all the Democrats to make huge gains in federal, state, and local races during his time as President.

If they were polling about evenly, then I would prefer Johnson. Considering that 1) only one of them has even a theoretical chance of winning, 2) Trump's transgressions are no worse than those of the Bushes, Dole, McCain, and Romney, and 3) Johnson isn't even campaigning on a libertarian platform, I will hold my nose for Trump rather than Johnson (assuming I vote at all).

I have a very serious problem with the way Hillary Clinton handled her emails, so I would cast a vote against her based solely on the security issues that this represents. Were I living in a swing state, I would have to vote for Trump; living here in California, I am free to cast my vote for Gary Johnson, which I plan to do.

Trump. Four years of libertarian foreign policy is unimaginable, nothing Trump has come up with has rivaled that level of crazy.

Lol, voted Johnson for the exact opposite of this.

Then again, I think Clinton's foreign policy is completely irresponsible so I think it's likely you and I have very little common ground.

Lol that's probably true,  you being a Bernie supporter and all. We can still be friends I hope Smiley

I'm curious about what angle of Hillary's foreign policy you find irresponsible compared to: "You can’t simply withdraw [from Afghanistan] tomorrow. Wish we could, and allow, you know, the Taliban or anybody else to reclaim that country.”

lol, easily Trump. It's a good intellectual gauge for where the forum is, though, relative to RL.
