The ball appears to have been dropped here as well, so I'm going to pick it up and start running.

It is important that we first elect someone to lead this body. Once that happens, the next step for us will be to determine our rules, where a name other than "leader", among other things, can be settled. Working with the next Speaker (Clark or Darthebearnc) will be essential to that task.

Senators have 24 hours to declare/nominate candidacies for Senate Leader.

Seeing as how 5 out of 6 senators have weighed in and the 6th is on a leave of absence, I'll go ahead and open the vote. I will leave the voting booth open for 48 hours or until one candidate attains 3 votes. I'm inclined to use 3 instead of 4 because Goldwater will be absent until next week and I'd like to get things moving as quickly as possible - requiring us to wait the full 48 hours would likely just slow us down. If you object to that, please voice your concerns. Smiley
