It was pretty close last time (51/48?) and Honda was slightly edged out in this year's primary. I don't see much difference in Honda's campaign while Khanna has certainly improved in organization and targeting this time around.

Any thoughts?

Probably - yes. Khanna is slightly more moderate, and remaining candidates (who didn't get into top 2) were mostly Republicans...

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say yes -- partially because of what the above poster said and partially due to Honda's recent ethical issues.

Most likely. Honda's weaker than he was in 2014.

I have to say that this race reminds me a great deal of Rangel v. Espaillat. I think Honda has a fighting chance if the same progressive groups who poured money into the race to his benefit in 2012 do so this year.

Sanders needs to start transferring supporters and money to Honda as well.

It's only a matter of time before Silicon Valley gets their man in office.

Even though Honda has arguably done more for them while in office.

Silicon Valley businessmans are, usually, very socially liberal, but have substantial fiscal conservative streak. So - fiscally liberal (and - "union's man") Honda is not "their man"

Khanna represents the worst parts of the Democratic elite that Conservatives bemoan.

Or even some that did endorse him

I haven't followed this race but why do most people on here despise Ro Khanna?

Because most of the people here think that only a "flaming progressive" has right to represent this (really - very Democratic) district. Despite clear tendency of last years: with obvious demise of Republican party in areas like California's Bay Area business more and more frequently supports "business Democrats" - very liberal on social issues, but less so on economy and not especially pro-labor (IMHO - that's only natural, as a lot of people in this wealthy area belongs exactly to that political category). Khanna belongs to that category, Honda - "flaming progressive"...

Nah, it's simpler than that. Most people hate Silicon Valley, left and right, and Khanna promises to be their puppet.

(They're essentially the equivalent of the loathsome and thankfully dead Rockefeller WASP elite of the GOP, just on the other coast and some how even more sanctimonious)

Because he has had the gall to challenge an incumbent Democrat (despite the latter's utterly unimpressive record in Congress and an ongoing ethics investigation into his staff's conduct).
