what about the material results of old legislation, e.g. high-speed rail lines? do we still have those? (apologies if this question has already been discussed)

Everything is reset. Meaning that every U.S.  legislation passed before 6/1/16 is on the Atlasian books. No high speed rails or high minimum wage. And most importantly, no budget surplus.

I've been presuming NeverAgain's answer, although it's a bit odd if you think about it. Of course, we can suspend the rules of reality and logic (e.g. magically make high-speed rail lines disappear) in a game such as this.

Now, the question I'd like to know (to shamelessly piggyback off of this thread Tongue) is: are foreign affairs reset?

As I understand it, the only things that remain in principle are the players of the game. Otherwise we are just United States c.2016.

Another question -- do regions reset to the laws of, say, a state? Or do they completely start from scratch?

Pre-reboot, it was understood that all state laws remained in effect unless superseded by regional law. I assume that this remains the case now.

Of course, there is a great deal of variation between the laws of, say, Indiana and Vermont - all the more reason for our new regional governments to hop to it!

Since there's been talk of stripping marriage rights for LGBT Atlasians - does the Obergefell v. Hodges ruling remain in effect?
