And here's Indiana.

Lugar won last year, and he probably will again based on a not too far away opinion poll on him.

And since the halfway point is reached, time for some record keeping

Other way around for me.

Though Quayle was a close second for the bottom, and Bayh Sr was a close second to the top.

Dick Lugar is certainly the best, followed closely by Birch and Evan Bayh.

In terms of the worst, I'll go with Donnelly for now as he has accomplished the least, given his short amount of time in the Senate.

Birch Bayh/Dan Quayle

Bayh just edges Lugar for me.

Birch Bayh/Dan Quayle

Bayh just edges Lugar for me.

And once again, three very different ideologically people agree.

Best:
1. Birch Bayh
2. Richard Lugar
3. Evan Bayh

I would vote for any of them. Birch Bayh is the best, having done the most of any Senator in recent history that I can think of.

Ideologically, I prefer Lugar and Evan Bayh.

Quayle is pretty awful, and Coats is pretty meh.

Birch Bayh, though Dick Lugar is a close second. Evan Bayh, The Governor >>>> Evan Bayh, The Senator. As for worst, it is hard to top Dan Quayle, as much as miserable lobbyist Dan Coats tries.

Lugar was a genuinely good man despite losing touch with his State and losing because of it

Coats II went from do-nothing to pure hawk statist, and it is disturbing. Shame Stutzman isn't replacing him.

Indiana has a plethora of terrible Senators to choose from. However, it's pretty obvious who the best Senator is. Not every Senator from the last 50 years wrote both constitutional amendments that were written in the last 50 years.
