In terms of hostility, smugness, partisanship, etc.

Definitely Democrats. The confirmation bias, tantrums and dismissals of polls they don't like, and overall smug/mean demeanor is very unbecoming.

Maxwell DOES have a tendency to attack people for no reason. And Lyndon is a Democrat in disguise; he just doesn't want the "hack" label that would come if his avatar was red.

In terms of hostility and partisanship, I'd say the Democratic and Independent Clinton supporters.  And that kind of makes sense, I guess, based on how the election played out.  Some of them are great, but some of them make it tough to go to the 2016 board.

On the rest of the site, I find the Rs and Ls most insufferable, if not totally insufferable, mostly because I find a lot of their positions nonsensical, vis-a-vis the recent gun control arguments in the secondary boards.  But they aren't very hostile or partisan - basically nobody is, outside of the 2016 board.

If one group is significantly larger than all the others, they'll be able to get away with unsupported arguments and ad hominem attacks more than other groups. It doesn't matter what the forum is. It could be politics, Xbox/Playstation, Yankees/Mets etc, the same principle applies.
