Chapter 1: 2016.

Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessman, television personality, author, and politician. He was the 45th President of the United States. Let's explore how Trump got to be president...

The Donald was born in Queens in 1946, his father, a real estate developer would greatly influence his life. He was a troubled child but after his tough years, he graduated from the Wharton School of Finance. In his early adult years, he avoided the draft and was quite the womanizer, his father got him into real estate. After much press as a famous celebrity and real estate mogul, despite having failures, The Donald ran for President. He won the Republican Nomination fairly easily, and faced Hillary Clinton and BEAT her in the 2016 Election by a very narrow margin, so narrow it wasn't called until 3 days later.

The 2016 Election:

Businessman Donald Trump/Senator Jeff Sessions: 272 Electoral Votes 47.9%
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton/Representative Xavier Becerra: 266 Electoral Votes 46.7%

The President Elect:

Chapter 1.5: (Still 2016)

President-Elect Trump met with President Obama soon after his election, and on November 12th, he came out and announced three Cabinet positions. Fmr. Amb. Jon Huntsman was announced to be Secretary of State. Businessman Carl Icahn for Treasury Secretary, and Fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin for Energy Secretary. The next day, Trump announced Neurosurgeon Ben Carson as Health Secretary.

To be continued...
