The speed at which his campaign is collapsing is just breathtaking. Just in the past day or so, it's been known that

1) Major sponsors are pulling out of the RNC
2) Over 300 delegates are in a secret Facebook page to dump Trump, and there's a major call about it Sunday night
3) Even Trump's diehard supporters like Duncan Hunter are saying mixed things about him
4) He's offered to drop out for $150 million

The Big Mo' is against him. Of course, it will be no surprise. He's been a joke from the beginning, the only surprising thing is how it's going down.

I know it's unbelievable, but he's going all the way to November.

If his campaign keeps collapsing at this rate though, it's going to be a dumpster fire beyond imagination by November.

I wonder what the forum's reaction would be if Trump was actually paid $150 million by Republican investors and gave a televised speech saying, "Just kidding guys, Hillary and I are best buds, and she put me up to this on a lark. We never thought I'd make it this far! Boy, Republicans sure are stupid! I endorse Hillary Rodham Clinton as our next president. After all, the economy does better under Democrats. Bye."

Yes, but there is going to be a nearly successful coup attempt at or before the RNC.

Yeah, but... it is becoming increasingly likely that this really could be a rout.

I didn't realize you supported Trump and threw all your negativity behind him.

Well, considering your prediction record, this is almost as bad news for Hillary as if Dick Morris called it for her.

The Trump Deniers never quit, do they?

To stop Trump at the convention, the GOP would have to suspend democracy in a seamy way that would enrage Trump's followers and probably ensure that Trump voters don't vote Republican in November.

Truthfully, the way for Republicans to get through this is to (A) shut their mouths, (B) allow Father Time to put distance between themselves and their intense criticisms of Trump, and (C) get on with the business of getting re-elected.

If they can't do this, it's because Trump has touched THEIR third rails.  Free Trade.  Neocon Interventionism.  Unfettered Illegal Immigration (i. e. Cheap Labor).  Hillary will give them all these things; they have to make the partisan noise, but they'll get what they want from Hillary.  Not so with Trump, and what frustrates them is that he's THEIR party's presumptive nominee.

Wow, he really said he'd quit if his expenses in the primary were paid? Great. Pay him and cut your losses.

300 delegates is not that impressive. That's only like 10%...

LOL, I will literally riot like it's the end of the world if the anointed figurehead for my cult is not the nominee. I have never seen so much baseless speculation on an event that could not possibly end well.

In spite of all this, his poll numbers are absolutely stellar!

I wonder how Trump supporters would react if their 'can't be bought' candidate agrees to drop out for money.

He'll announce his withdrawal a week before the convention, stating that it's in the country's best interest to defeart crooked Hillary...because ultimately I don't believe he wants any part of this anyway.

4) He's offered to drop out for $150 million

That number was just being floated around by various people (apparently). Trump said he would think about it if the figure was 5 billion Roll Eyes

Unless he suddenly gets bored and drops out, no. Abandon all dreams about a successfull convention challenge.

To say no and to suggest that there's going to be some convention coup is silly and conspiratorial at this point.

Yes.

If the RNC tries anything to remove Trump, Cleveland will turn into a Mad Max wilderness by the time the convention ends.

I don't know, this election has been in uncharted territory since at least January.  It is ripping apart many old alliances, such as conservatives and the GOP.  Ann Coulter hates the GOP now.  Never thought I'd see the day.  No matter how this election turns out, it may take decades to repair those alliances in the GOP
