Is Donald Trump a Democratic plant in the GOP?

Does anybody think Donald Trump is running in the GOP to purposely sabotage the party and cut deals to get Hillary in office?

Aside from the overall absurdity of this idea, I have a hard time believing that, as a plant, he would viciously attack Clinton on any and everything from past and present. Why soften her up like that? If the goal is to throw the election, there is no need to go at her like this.

Other than that, I do admit that Trump is so effectively tarnishing the GOP brand and ruining his position in the race that it does almost seem like he planned this and is executing with surgical precision. Still, though. I think Trump is just that dumb and reckless, and not part of some plan.

Why should Trump waste his time helping a friend and get nothing out of it? I know he's a great guy, but that would be a lot of time not running his billion dollar empire. He needs to rehash the 90s scandals to bring people into his soon-to-be-launched news network. Crooked Hillary doesn't take it personally. We New Yorkers know how to rip on each other - the rest of America just thinks we actually mean it.

I feel like in early 2015 Bill Clinton made two phone calls, one to Donald Trump and one to Bernie Sanders. He told them 'look, we gotta make this Hillary presidency thing look like it wasn't a cake-walk, we gotta make it look like it was hard. So both of you guys, run for President, but try your best not to actually win. Got it? Good.'
