I personally think that it would be better for Trump to form his own party because Republican establishment will continue throwing a monkey wrench into his campain.
At the opening of Republican Convention in July he should declare that:
1)  he leaves the Republican Party because its leaders are dishonest schemers
2) he will run as an independent candidate
3)  he urges his supporters to leave the Convention
4)  he will form his own party.
This party may be named, e.g. Federalist Party.

Please rename the thread title. He is not 'to form his own party.' This is just a hypothetical, not a news story.

Hell yeah, he should. That will allow Hillary to focus completely on the Senate and House seats with silly Donny running against himself.

He should join Democrats, because they're actually the better party.

Completely unrealistic.

A status which shall be immediately revoked should he join.

You are still dreaming of converting DAP into NSDAP?

So Democrats were bad before 1987 and between 2001 and 2009?

A statement that is either showing a staggering degree of misinderstanding American politics, or is a deliberate malicious sander. I am inclining towards the latter. I think, real Democrats should take our German Nazi friend here to court for defamation.

Too simple. First American Party (FAP), Paramount American Party (PAP), Premier American Party, something like that. Or Trump's American Party (TAP).

Without TRUMP's name in it? No way!

To Distinguish from NSDAP(H) you can call it NSDAP(T). Combines the naming tradition of the two political movements you most admire.

In Germany? Why not? Nominate TRUMP as chancellor candidate and he'll unseat Merkel in the election next year. Angela, you're fired!

You really want an international coalition to take over after a long war? I am afraid, this time they will not limit themselves to raping women and partitioning the country into 2 for 50 years. Last time Roosevelt liked to joke about castrating all German males. This time they will, probably, go beyond joking.

Completely unrealistic.

Given that Trump has been, at various times, a Republican, Democrat, Independent, Reform, I wouldn't be surprised.

If elected, he should go Libertarian just to troll Gary Johnson.

I think he is brining some issues to light among GOP voters (campaign finance, trade, foreign policy/Israel, health care, taxes on hedge funds) that have not been heard en masse since Pat Buchanan sought the nomination (although, Rick Santorum opposed free trade deals during his 2012 run). I vote that Trump should stay in the GOP, whether he tarnishes the Party's brand or not, and help to move the Party back to the center-right, as opposed to the far-right.

This is a poll rather than a thread and it is marked with the appropriate symbol in the list of topics. No need to rename anything.

If that coalition is led by U.S. President Donald Trump I'm just fine.

I see. BTW, my German Nazi castrato wannabe, I got the name for your party. Nazionalsozialistische Drumpfarbeiterpartei. Sings very nicely. You are welcome to correct my German Smiley

Why not? The names of existing political parties don't feature the term "American". But Premier American Party  sounds better.

"I want it to be a worker's party...so we'll call it the Worker's Party because we stand with the hard-working people of this country. But we care about America and we put America First, so we need to maybe call it the National Worker's Party. And you know, I'm a fun guy, I get along with everybody, I want to be social. So maybe the National Social Worker's Party...National Socialist Worker's Party...something like that."
