Other than Austria is their much point? The Germans were expelled from everywhere else Post-WW2. Apparently that stupid ugly exclave of Russia (kalingrad) that ruins the map was supposed to have a plebiscite on what it wanted to do 50 years after the war. Stalin just replaced all the inhabitants with Russians. No one bothered to ask for the Plebescite when the USSR dissolved.

Seriously, aside of the fact it would be an indirect rehabilitation of the Nazi Germany expansionist war crimes, the whole peace and stability in Europe has been based, since the end of WWII, on respecting existing borders. That's why events in Ukraine are so troubling.

For historical reasons it would make more sense to divide Kaliningrad between Poland and Lithuania.
