So he only has about a million in cash on-hand... but he's having the campaign spend about a million just on Trump businesses.

Of course he is.

The Clinton's corruption is going to seem penny-ante to all the ways TrumpMiller will try to loot and scam the nation and office should he gain the Presidency. It's practically the only thing he knows how to do.

Apparently he also paid $35,000 to Draper Sterling, the fictitious advertising firm from Mad Men.

It could very well be a real political advertising company named (partially) after a fictitious adverting firm on a TV show.  The Wikipedia entry for Mad Men said that the ad agency was called Sterling Cooper in the early seasons, then Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce  and later Sterling Cooper & Partners, not Draper Sterling.  So it's not even a complete match.

The firm appears to be real (registered) and based out of a home in Londonderry, New Hampshire.

This is true, but it's still probably a grift. Businesses that are intended to be profitable going concerns typically don't choose well known copyrights as their name.

Eh, most of his campaign money is from himself anyway.

It's 15 mins from Corey Lewandowski's hometown. It's a private residence. And now Trump is doing a "forensic review" of Corey Lewandowski's financial decisions. Could be his campaign manager was embezzling from him. Fraud begets fraud.

That could be a way of sheltering funds. If he directs a lot that money through his businesses, then he could get a return on a lot of it depending on how much of a cut he takes from his businesses that he used as vendors. Individual candidates can loan their campaigns whatever they choose and taxes don't apply.

How can Republicans protect America when they can't protect their own party from a nickel-and-dime grifter?

Socking news. Trump doesn't give an F about appearances of impropriety. Who could have possibly imagined that this would be the case?

He presumably already paid taxes on the money he loaned.
