Agreed. Is OP suggesting the takeover of soverign nations in the Middle East and the Balkans? If so that is not only stupid, but is also dangerous to world safety.

That's a completely different question, though.

Indeed. The answer is yes IMO, or at the very least things were far more stable back then, but trying to wind back the clock by recreating the Ottoman Empire won't work. Modern Turkey is a completely different beast than the Ottoman Empire.

That's a completely different question, though.

Indeed. The answer is yes IMO, or at the very least things were far more stable back then, but trying to wind back the clock by recreating the Ottoman Empire won't work. Modern Turkey is a completely different beast than the Ottoman Empire.

I mean, there's a reason the Ottoman Empire fell in the first place.

But you just implied your original question was predicated on the assumption that social/political conditions would revert to the way they were in the Middle East if the Ottoman Empire were re-established.  Which doesn't make sense.
