Guðni Thorlacius Jóhannesson - historian, author and senior lecturer at the University of Iceland

Guðni is an associate professor of history at the University of Iceland. He has taught at the University of Iceland, Reykjavik University, Bifröst University and the University of London. Guðni has written numerous books, including works about the Cod Wars and the Icelandic presidency. He has also written numerous books and essays on Iceland’s history. These include a biography of former prime minister Gunnar Thoroddsen and Óvinir Ríkisins (“Enemies of the State”).
He offers his campaign volunteers to drive you to your election site and wants the role of president to mantain its merely symbolic status

Davíð Oddsson (Independence Party)– editor-in-chief of Morgunblaðið and former Prime Minister
Davíð Oddsson is an Icelandic politician, and the longest-serving Prime Minister of Iceland, holding office from 1991 to 2004.  Previously, he was Mayor of Reykjavík from 1982 to 1991, and he chaired the board of governors of the Central Bank of Iceland from 2005 to 2009. The collapse of Iceland's banking system led to vocal demands for his resignation both by members of the Icelandic public and by the new Icelandic Prime Minister Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir, which resulted in him being replaced as head of the Central Bank in March 2009. (from Wikipedia)
Named by TIME magazine as one of the 25 People to Blame for the Financial Crisis

Andri Snær Magnason  - author and environmentalist

He wrote the book Dreamland, a highly praised work of non-fiction dealing with many issues in modern Iceland, mostly environmentalism but also the influence of the US military base in Iceland. His children's book, The Story of the Blue Planet, was the first children's book to receive the Icelandic Literary Prize and has been published in 30 countries.  Andri was vice-president of The Icelandic Writers Union and a board member of The Culture House in Reykjavik. He has been active in the fight against the destruction of the Icelandic Highlands. Andri has recently published the book Dreamland - Self-help for a frightened nation. It is a book that criticises the fast destruction of the Icelandic nature by the damming of rivers for the gain of aluminium companies. (from wikipedia)

Halla Tómasdóttir - entrepreneur and investor, co-founder of Audur Capital

Halla is a well known international keynote speaker and change catalyst who has advocated for more women in key decision-making positions and more sustainable values at the heart of business and finance.
She led a successful women entrepreneurship and empowerment initiative, and later founded Auður Capital, an investment firm that focused on incorporating feminine values into finance. She was a founding member of the National Assembly held in Iceland in the wake of its collapse, where a random sample of the Icelandic nation discussed its values and vision for the future.
"I want to live in a society that puts people and nature first. A just society that values integrity and assumes leadership when it comes to equality, education and entrepreneurship."

Ástþór Magnússon Wium -  businessman and peace activist, best known as a perennial candidate for the office of President of Iceland.
Ástþór brought Eurocard to Iceland in 1979 making it the first credit card company operating in Iceland
Ástþór unsuccessfully campaigned for the post of President of Iceland three times; in 1996, 2004 and 2012. He failed to get the necessary 1,500 signatures in 2000 and therefore wasn't on the ballot and on 1 June 2012 his candidacy was revoked because he had failed to obtain the mandatory certificate from the senior electoral officer in the Northwest constituency, as he was the only challenger that meant that President Olafur Ragnar Crimson was returned unopposed..[1] Ástþór was the founder and chairperson of the Democracy Movement, a political party founded in 1998 for the purpose of promoting direct democracy and e-democracy. The party folded after the 2009 general elections. He also founded the peace movement Peace2000.
In 1996 he distributed the book "The use of Bessastaðr" to every household in Iceland.

Hildur Þórðardóttir -  ethnologist and healer
My name is Hildur Thordardottir and I am a healer and hypnotist based in Iceland. I work mostly with emotional healing in groups or on individual basis. Distance is no barrier because healing can be sent wherever is needed. The only criteria is that you need to be prepared to forgive and let go.
Hypnosis is done only individually and in person.
I also channel your guides and helpers, angels and spirits. I have also channelled the energy and information of the different divine rays but that will perhaps come later.
