I'm actually shocked because it is such a risk. It's still quite possible Rubio loses this thing to Patrick Murphy, in which case that severely hurts Rubio's political career. It doesn't make sense to me because clearly his ultimate goal is to be president, and he could've launched a 2020 or 2024 campaign without being an incumbent senator.

I mean for the GOP it's alot better then the current options running against Murphy. And with Rubio running again he would have a modest advantage.

For Rubio it's also alot easier then running against Bill Nelson or for Governor in 2018 no matter how good the political enviroment is.

I think Rubio can beat Murphy without problem. Should Rubio actually be the nominee I think he'll win by 3-6 points

What a fraud. He betrays his so called personal friend Lopez-Cantra and voters. Hope he loses against Murphy!

Rubio will pound the daylights out of Murphy. The reaction from Atlas Dems this November will be painful to watch.

Rubio is a once-in-a-generation political talent, while Murphy is a paper tiger.

The Democrats now have no path to winning the Senate.

He’s such a talent, that he lost badly against a narcissist fake billionaire who never ran for office before.

Yeah, just like you said he was gonna win the GOP primary...

He's still just an empty suit, he's given his canned speeches and repeats them over and over.

Rubio can't possibly win.

Great, now we get to hear about how invincible, flawless, and beautiful he is for at least the next two months, if not four months, if not longer. The GOP will never cease to prop this loser up...

I see Murphy winning over Rubio by 5 points. It's going to be a youthful rivalry if he wins the Senate primary in August.

Why do some on here think that a guy who didn't do his job when he was in the Senate would be the best man for the job? Why give him another stepping stone until 2020 when he'll surely run for President again and throw the voters of Florida under the bus again?

I'm not sure why all of you are so confident in your prediction (whether you think Rubio or Murphy wins). I think this race is a complete tossup and will remain that way till election day, it's really too early to know for sure who will win. The GOP definitely has better odds of winning with Rubio in the race than they did before, but I think this race is a tossup.

If TN volunteer's post had their own PVI score...they'd be about R+7.

Honestly, how certain are we that Murphy will even make it past Grayson to face Rubio in the general?
