The Libertarian Town Hall is on CNN at 9PM ET. Johnson needs to try to be as normal as possible for this one.

Nah they won't do one with Stein, it will encourage bernouts to vote for her over Clinton, which is exactly what they don't want to happen. She doesn't deserve it anyway, she's only on the ballot in 20 states and is honestly crazy.

I wish Johnson and Weld the best. I think Libertarians contribute a lot of good ideas to the political discussion that many Americans need to hear. 70% of voters despise Trump, 55% despise Clinton, and Jill Stein is too liberal for even many Democrats. For these voters, Johnson/Weld is a good ticket, and I would like to see them, as third party options, get as many votes as they can.

Doubtful. Illinois and Oklahoma have passed and Michigan is quite hard, even the Libertarians didn't get it last election. And they already missed Arizona too.

Better than when he tries and acts cool with his peace symbol T-shirt and tweed jacket.

I'm not sure your last sentence will hold up as objective evidence in court, but I take your point. Most of the corporate, mainstream media (save Fox News) is biased in Clinton's favor, and generally biased against a genuinely liberal or progressive vision laid out by the Green Party, and will not sponsor such an event featuring Stein, even though she is the only other candidate with ballot access to 270+ electoral votes.

Tuned it just in time to see the panelists talking about Trump votes splitting off to 'Gary Hart'. This will be a good watch

Johnson opens with the "fiscally conservative, socially liberal" line.

Gary Johnson on Obama: "Good guy."
On Clinton: "A wonderful public servant."
On Trump: "I'm sure there's something good to say about him."

That was only because of a sore-loser law (which usually aren't enforced for presidential candidates) and the fact that Johnson had qualified for the GOP primary ballot before switching to the Libertarians. Stein and a number of other candidates did make the ballot in Michigan that year.

Johnson: "I haven't seen a doctor in three years."

That's a little concerning.

Complete Neutrality on Obamacare? I get what he's trying to do, but it's kind of silly.

Johnson:

• Raised Christian
• Occasionally prays
• Doesn't go to church
• The god he talks to doesn't have a specific religion

Interesting.
