Weld should really be at the top of the ticket. He responds directly to the questions, and comes across as confident and competent.

I like what I'm hearing with the immigration question. Seems to be one of the easier issues for Johnson to talk about.

I think Johnson would support Clinton over Trump.

Weld says Clinton is better than Trump. Johnson dodges.

Johnson is being really vague on policy.

Johnson is being really vague on policy.

It's part of the reason why the LP didn't want to nominate him.

Yeah, but he's not really a Libertarian. Have to please the base to be put forward to the general public, as is always the case, for better or for worse.

Johnson: "I don't want to legalize Heroin but you know this "get your dose here" center sounds kind of good.....

Johnson REALLY needs Weld to speak for him...The cringe is real right now, I wouldn't be surprised of Johnson's support cuts in half as a result of this. Not even joking.

I really like Bill Weld, and Johnson. I feel that Weld is really 'Bentsening' Johnson though. He takes a stand, and says things clearly when Johnson goes off on more of a tangent.

LOL. "Well if someone is dying just beg for help and mercy from someone" (basically what he said at the convention debate) is not a policy.

Johnson's really trying to please everybody here.

That's kinda what he needs to do.

Why isn't Weld at the top of the ticket? Is it too late for them to switch?

This is why it would not be good for Johnson to be in the debates.

Why isn't Weld at the top of the ticket? Is it too late for them to switch?

When you look at the 17 states that they are still collecting signatures in, a lot have rules against substitution - which effectively means that switching the ticket around would reset their signature count to 0 for the given state.

-----

I honestly feel like Romney right now: If Weld was at the top of the ticket I'd be on board. Johnson....we'll see how Hillary behaves.

LOL, 9:00 Eastern is one of the highest times of TV Viewing. I'd say this got 2 million to 3 million views, give or take.

He did ok. I come from a family of drunks and addicts, and I didn't see anything wrong with his solutions. His problem was that he didn't challenge that mother who was angry about the heroin. Drug addiction isn't just addiction to drugs. It's a deeper issue.

Johnson's really trying to please everybody here.

That's kinda what he needs to do.

Well, of course. He's already run once before. You get two terms and you get two chances to run for President. That's kinda the unspoken tradition.
