For those who don't know, the GOP Congressmen and the Democrat ones play each other in a baseball game every June.  The all-time series is nearly tied (both parties have claims on the all-time edge), but the Republicans have yet to win during the Obama years.  Last year's 5-2 Democratic margin was the closest the Republicans have come since last winning it in 2008 (11-10).  In 2013, the Democrats won it 22-0.

Fun fact: Since 1968, the winner of the game has gone on to win the presidential election popular vote 9 of 12 times (in presidential years) (1980, 1992, and 2008 are the exceptions).

The rosters are:

Democrats
Aguilar, Pete (CA-31)
Beyer, Don (VA-08)
Boyle, Brendan (PA-13)
Cardenas, Tony (CA-29)
Crowley, Joe (NY-07)
Donnelly, Joe (IN)
Doyle, Mike (PA-14)
Gallego, Ruben (AZ-07)
Huffman, Jared (CA-02)
Jeffries, Hakeem (NY-08)
Kildee, Daniel (MI-05)
Murphy, Chris (CT)
Murphy, Patrick (FL-18)
Pascrell, Bill (NJ-08)
Perlmutter, Ed (CO-07)
Polis, Jared (CO-02)
Richmond, Cedric (LA-02)
Ruiz, Raul (CA-36)
Ryan, Tim (OH-17)
Sanchez, Linda (CA-39)
Swalwell, Eric (CA-15)
Walz, Timothy (MN-01)

Republicans
Bartletta, Lou (PA-11)
Barton, Joe (TX-06)
Bishop, Mike (MI-08)
Brady, Kevin (TX-08)
Brooks, Mo (AL-05)
Costello, Ryan (PA-06)
Conaway, Mike (TX-11)
Davis, Rodney (IL-13)
Dold, Bob (IL-10)
Duncan, Jeff (SC-03)
Flake, Jeff (AZ)
Fleischmann, Chuck (TN-03)
Graves, Sam (MO-06)
Johnson, Bill (OH-06)
Kelly, Trent (MS-01)
Lahood, Darren (IL-18)
LaMalfa, Doug (CA-01)
Loudermilk, Barry (GA-11)
Meehan, Pat (PA-07)
Moolenaar, John (MI-04)
Palazzo, Steven (MS-04)
Palmer, Gary (AL-06)
Paul, Rand (KY)
Paulsen, Erik (MN-03)
Pearce, Steve (NM-02)
Rooney, Tom (FL-17)
Ross, Dennis (FL-15)
Scalise, Steve (LA-01)
Shimkus, John (IL-15)
Stutzman, Marlin (IN-03)
Walker, Mark (NC-06)
Wenstrup, Brad (OH-02)
Williams, Roger (TX-25)
Yoder, Kevin (KS-03)

Any predictions?  Is this the year the GOP finally breaks through again?

Aw, it's nice to see Congresscritters from both sides of the aisle getting along.  It warms my heart.

The Democrats will win though.  The GOP is missing their star player, Adam Kinzinger.

IIRC Cedric Richmond on his own could beat the Republican caucus.

Final score: GOP 8, Democrats 7

Tom Rooney hit a walkoff single to right field to win the game.  The GOP led 6-1 after 5 innings, but the Democrats took advantage of Republican errors to take the lead in the 6th, 7-6.  Then, in the bottom of the 7th (of a 7-inning game), the donkeys replaced star pitcher Cedric Richmond when he was in a jam, replacing him with Patrick Murphy.  With a runner on third and two outs in a 7-7 game, under a chorus of "Marco Rubio" chants from the GOP faithful, Murphy buckled and let Rooney be the hero.

I feel like there's a metaphor in here somewhere.

Why isn't Kinzinger on their team?

I thought you were joking but that's actually what happened. Lol at the Rubio chant.
