Is it even healthy for men to do this? I generally prefer Anglo-Saxon names, but I'm a bit torn because my family all have Russian names and I have a fondness for the Byzantine Empire/Russia that I'm uncomfortable with.

Male
Horatio
Ananias
Justinian
William

Female
Virginia

I'm not having children, but if for some God forsaken reason it were to happen, I like the name Macklin Amadeus for a boy and Anastasia Elaine (my mother's middle name) for a girl.

I think my fiancée and I both really like Caleigh for a girl.

I think I want my first born son to be named (My true first name)_____ Theodore _____(last name), and to go by his middle name, like Theo. I also want to throw in a bit of my Lithuanian heritage in there and maybe have a kids middle name be Casimir.

Great question - in high school, I made it my intention to have 10 kids (6 girls, 4 boys) with names laid out. Tore that up thankfully, but I remember Isabella, Brooke, Emma among them as I recall.

In recent time, I've become more realistic (and perhaps a wee bit selfish), but I no longer expect to have to children. If I were to, I'd probably cap it at 2 boys - something like Blake Oliver and Hunter Thomas. Though I'd need to give it some thought. I also like Caleb, Jacob, and Maverick.

I have way more girl names in mind than boy names. I figure if I ever have a son, I can just use process of elimination, since I have a huge list of names I won't give a son.

Natalie
Devon
Elizabeth/Lizzie/Ellie
Rixana
Evelyn/Eve/Eva/Evey
Kirsten
Matilda
Kajsa
Elise
Eleanor

Oliver Blake flows better and Hunter Thomas sounds too much like a window shade brand.  You could call your son Ollie B and start him off on an awkward Catholic white hiphop career!

I detest all these over the top names Millennials want to name their kids

I shall name my son Octavius Deus Babylonica and my daughter Flower Spring Emma Sunshine Rainbow Glitter.

I prefer names like Daniel, Angela, Jacob, Theresa, Emily, or Matthew.

I guess I kinda have a Scandinavian outlook on naming customs.  Give them a name they can live with.
