Great question - in high school, I made it my intention to have 10 kids (6 girls, 4 boys) with names laid out. Tore that up thankfully, but I remember Isabella, Brooke, Emma among them as I recall.

In recent time, I've become more realistic (and perhaps a wee bit selfish), but I no longer expect to have to children. If I were to, I'd probably cap it at 2 boys - something like Blake Oliver and Hunter Thomas. Though I'd need to give it some thought. I also like Caleb, Jacob, and Maverick.
Oliver Blake flows better and Hunter Thomas sounds too much like a window shade brand.  You could call your son Ollie B and start him off on an awkward Catholic white hiphop career!

I detest all these over the top names Millennials want to name their kids

I shall name my son Octavius Deus Babylonica and my daughter Flower Spring Emma Sunshine Rainbow Glitter.

I prefer names like Daniel, Angela, Jacob, Theresa, Emily, or Matthew.

I guess I kinda have a Scandinavian outlook on naming customs.  Give them a name they can live with.

Thank you for the critique! I'm easily open to changing Thomas - kept it because family name, but I could see Caleb there tbh.

I do like Oliver Blake slightly more as well now that you say it! I'm just horifled at the thought of them using nicknames like Ollie. It's why I avoid nice names like Douglas and Edward. But I'll train my fictional child.

My children (one of each gender) have their mother's middle name for their middle name, and my last name. That middle name is my wife's mother's middle name as well which was moved from her maiden name when she married. Thus my children have both a multi-generational matrilineal name as well as a patrilineal name.

Yeah, she has a pretty cool name, huh? Do you know her? Basically every name on the girl list is someone I know.

Only from that time I read for a Skype tournament that she played (and you did, too).

If I have kids....

Girls:
-Natalie (always liked this name)
-Anat (Israeli name that's a variation of "Annette" or "Anatasia" and also the name of an ancient Semitic mythological figure) (so, has Russian, European and Semitic roots)
-Sarah: I love my biblical and/or Jewish names lol.
-Shoshana
-Hadassah
-Lily: (essentially the same as Shoshana as it means lily in biblical hebrew)
-Tatiana or Tanya: Latin orgins, used by Russians/Ukrainians etc...
-Natasha: Russian.
- Yael: Israeli and Jewish
- Noa: Biblical and Israeli name

Boys:

- Alon or Elon (or any of its other variants)Sad Means Oak Tree in hebrew.
- Yaron: I like how the name sounds. Means joyful. Would not take the english equivalent of "Jaron", however. I don't like how that sounds.
- Vitalik: Like Natalie, I just like this name. This name is Russian/Ukrainian, which sets it apart from most of the other names I listed.
- Roman: Obliviously has roman origins. Many Russians, Ukrainians, Czechs etc... use it as now. I really like the name, but I don't know if I'd name my son this.
- Daniel
- Yohanan: Hebrew name with a lot of usage on the Christian side, historically and on the Jewish side, in the modern world.
- Yonatan: Jonathan in Hebrew

Some of these would go well as middle names to my top 5.

Is it SAY-lem, SAH-lem, sah-LEM, or something else? English speakers would end up calling him SAY-lem regardless.
