I am not ashamed that George Wallace is my favorite American politician. George Wallace said and did some bad things in the pursuit of power, and he hurt people. However, George Wallace and his wife won the black vote in every single election they contested because of his populist stances on things like education and infrastructure. Human beings are flawed, and I see George Wallace as a tragic figure who was a good man in his heart. Later in his life, he became born again and sought forgiveness from the black community which he hurt earlier in his career. I admire that, and I'm drawn to the humanity of his story.

Call for Southern Legislature Candidates
June 30, 2016

The foundation of our democracy is a government ruled from the bottom up, with a politically active and engaged citizenry. The citizen-legislators of the regional legislatures are a crucial part of this system. With only four declared candidates for the upcoming elections to the new Southern Legislature this weekend, I would like to call upon fellow Southerners to join the race. My fellow Federalist candidates, Golfman76 and dfwlibertylover, and I share a commitment to freedom and Atlasian values, and we are poised to usher in a period of real conservative change in the South. This Friday, I look forward to voting for another candidate to join us. Conservatives, libertarians, patriots, together we can do anything. This is our time.

Standing for our values
July 11, 2016

Today, I was honored to stand behind Governor PiT as he signed the Regional Symbols Act, a bill that I was proud to sponsor, into law. This law establishes the official symbols of our region - a seal, flag, motto, and floral emblem - all with great historical and cultural significance and symbolism. These symbols will serve to unite us and represent who we are and what we stand for as we enter this new and exciting phase in our region's history. These are symbols that we can be proud of and pass on to our children so that they may continue our work towards making this region as perfect as it can be.

Our new regional motto reminds us of the promise of scripture, where it says in Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Our nation is not unique because of the political principles it was founded upon. Our nation is unique because of the spiritual principle it was founded upon - that our rights come from God. We recognize this, and it is our duty to remind every Atlasian of this important principle, and affirm that principle in our lives and our political discourse.

I have introduced two new pieces of legislation into the Southern Legislature that will affirm our commitment to our founding principles - the Student Religious Liberties Act, which guarantees the voluntary free expression of religious viewpoints in public schools, and the Universal Justice Act, which guarantees the constitutional application of family law in the South. I firmly believe these are excellent bills that protect religious liberty and the rule of law in our region, and I urge you to read the bills and encourage your Legislator to vote in favor of them.

Thank you friends. It’s great to be here at the Kirby Center among so many friends, so many fellow lovers of the Constitution, and so many patriots. What an honor it is to be speaking to you here at Hillsdale College – the first college in the United States to prohibit discrimination based on race, religion, or sex, and a college founded by men and women grateful to God for His providential blessings upon this land.

Six weeks ago, I called on the people of the South to unite and shine their light into the dark to redeem the promise of Atlasia. I promised you that I would keep my word and fight for our values and defend the Constitution. Since then, I am proud to say that not only have I been the most prolific legislator in the South, but I have consistently defended your values at all levels of government and have never backed down from a righteous fight. I have defended religious liberty, I've stood against Sharia law, I've fought for the Second Amendment, and I've stood for limited government and the Constitution every single day. Your support has sustained me, and through our hard work, we see the darkness receding as a new Southern morning begins to prevail.

None of us have forgotten the horrific attacks in Orlando just before that campaign. Since then, we have seen more horrific attacks by Islamic terrorists against Western civilization, including 85 killed in Nice and a priest killed in a church in Normandy. France, our oldest ally, is entering a long, dark night because of unchecked immigration, cultural disintegration, and socialist policies. We pray for France, but prayer is not enough. We are the bulwark of Western civilization, and we have a duty to defend our values, our culture, and our way of life. The current Congress is a disgrace, with massive inactivity, low-quality legislation, and virtually no serious debate. It is time for true conservatism and intellectual piety to return to the House, and that is why I am running for election to the House of Representatives.

The establishment tells us that for the Federalists to win, we have to abandon our values. If we don’t stand for our values, why are we even here? Our values are who we are. To win, we have to offer a choice, not an echo. We need to stand for conservative values – defend the Constitution, repeal every word of Obamacare, simplify the tax code and abolish the IRS. In the Declaration of Independence, the Founding Fathers said, “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.” With that, they declared independence from an earthly power, and sought dependence on a heavenly one. The halls of government are more crowded than they appear. No matter what laws we pass, or what actions we take, God is always present, and always watching. Now more than ever, we must stop surrendering to Labor’s radical agenda and shine our lights ever brighter into the darkness.

I will leave you with a question - what kind of country do you want to leave your children? It is a question each generation of our forebears faced. Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation from extinction. We don’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. We must fight for it, and protect it, and then hand it to them so that they will do the same.” I have fought for it. I ask for your support so that I can continue to fight for you. Friends, it is great to be back home in Alabama among so many familiar faces. You may have seen my face on TV and heard my name on the radio in recent days in Labor attack ads. I think you know as well as I do that it can only mean we are succeeding in spreading our message of Constitutional conservatism. First of all, let me take a moment to make clear where we stand in this election - our goal is to elect North Carolina Yankee President and elect a Federalist majority to the House. And I am proud to stand beside my fellow Federalists and stand up once again for true conservatives and patriots in Atlasia!

The August election was disappointing for our party and the conservative movement in Atlasia as we saw the radical left seize a majority in the House. Since taking power, Labor has become emboldened to ever more radical behavior such as voter fraud, introducing legislation abolishing Christmas and describing opposition to militant atheism as "anti-Semitism". The party that refuses to stand with Israel and sympathizes with Palestinian militants would know a thing or two about anti-Semitism! If I am elected to the House, I pledge to you that I will be the most unapologetic supporter of the nation of Israel in federal elected office, and we will instruct the State Department to move the Atlasian Embassy in Tel Aviv to its rightful place in Jerusalem!

On every major issue, there is a lack of conservative voices and leadership in the corridors of power, and we see our nation in decline. But hope remains. I'm optimistic because I believe in you, the Atlasian people, who have always risen to the challenge in our darkest hours to protect liberty and our founding values. I'm optimistic because I believe in the promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." You know, in 1981, when Ronald Reagan took the Oath of Office, his left hand was resting on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - this is what we still believe in, and a new conservative renaissance is what we can accomplish if we stay true to God and to each other.

We know we cannot accomplish all of our goals in one term, or perhaps not even our lifetimes. But we can start by electing a Federalist majority to the House and retiring NeverAgain as Speaker! If you believe in religious liberty, vote Labor out! If you believe in the right to keep and bear arms, vote Labor out! If you believe in regional rights, vote Labor out! And if you want to pass on an Atlasia to your children better than the country you inherited, join me, and take back the House, take back our future, and take back our country.
