Interesting. I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject, so I'm probably completely off base here, but dollar bills are made out of a pretty soft and thin material, so can you even have Braille on it and have it be legible?

I'd imagine so. Bills in other countries have braille.

Either way, I see no reason why this bill should be voted down. This is a great bill.

What do you think the estimated startup and long-term costs would be?

I feel like we're in a paradox when we talk about the cost of changing the way we make money

This.

Anyway, as Senator Smith said, if other countries have it, why not us?

My addition, as stated before, would be to have different colors of our bills and maybe some type of fiberglass part to our bills to make them easier to feel and also MUCH harder to counterfeit.

Continuing paper bills combined with Braille and taking into account how long bills are in circulation, the Braille would likely be difficult to read. I suggest it be added on using a material like heated plastic.

Look, the reason I've introduced that bill is my feel that not enough is done for the disabled in this country. I believe that this act will greatly help the blind people in their daily life, preventing them for getting ripped off, for example. I will look forward to amendments like the ones proposed by Rep. NeverAgain and Assemblyman Kingpoleon and I'm ready to discuss them.

Evening,

The Currency Tactile Feature Act has been amended by the House, and it is time for the Senate to vote on whether to send it to the President's desk.

I'm a bit confused on this. 1 claims that there are seven different bills, 2 implies that there are five, and 4 implies that there are six.

Huh, good catch, I didn't notice that before. Is there any way to fix this?

We have to vote on it as is. My recommendation would be to pass it, then allow Leinad to submit a presidential redraft. The other option would be to fail it, then bring it back up.
