How many Texans do you think consider themselves Texan but not American?  I can't imagine that number is even 1%.

It's more than that for sure, but still not enough for anything noteworthy to come of it.

The idea that any U.S. state would secede is laughable.

62% of Scotts consider themselves Scottish and not British.

A lot more than that don't want anything to do with Obama's America.

One thing I would definitely take away from this is that we need to believe most of the weird polls we are seeing.  The Brexit polling had a narrow Leave lead for a long time, then a tie at the very end.  No one wanted to believe it and the prediction markets had 4:1 Remain right up to the start of the vote counting.  And there were a whole host of traditionally left wing constituencies that voted overwhelmingly to leave and traditionally right wing constituencies that voted overwhelmingly to stay.

So I think Trump really is in a statistical tie in UT, OH, and PA simultaneously right now, and Clinton really is leading in AZ and way up in FL.

The average American probably thinks Brexit is an English business tycoon with a top hat and a monocle and that Bremain is a French socialist with a velvet beret and a curly mustache.

Zero.     Our voters dont even know what the EU is.

Sure they do, they just wonder why A, I, and O were left out of the list.  Smiley

As to Brexit, I agree with Greg Gutfeld of The Five, who summed up the voting with the following:

Wow, Greg Gutfeld actually said something that wasn't completely useless.

Cameron stated that negotiations with EU would be postponed till October when a new PM is elected.
The negotiations will take about 2 years.
According to EU constitution a member state can exit on condition that 75% of all member states agree to it.
Conclusion: No Brexit will take place.  It has been a fraud to imitate democracy.

No, once the UK formally signifies exit, then under Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty it will happen in two years time unless the UK and the EU jointly agree to delay the exit.  However, that would be a bald exit with nothing done to smooth the exit. It's the withdrawal agreement that is intended to make the exit less painful that requires negotiation that requires a qualified majority (19 of the remaining 27 comprising 65% of the remaining population) of the EU to agree.

It might be possible, depending on the scope of what can be included in the withdrawal agreement, to have Scotland join/remain in the EU while bypassing the threat of a Spanish veto under article 49 on an independent Scotland joining the EU.  Similarly, perhaps NI and Gibraltar's continuing membership in the EU could be negotiated.  After all, it's only England and Wales that wanted out, and there already is precedent for only part of a member state to be in the EU.

I just got an idea, what if instead of invoking Article 50, the UK government seeks to have England and Wales listed in Annex II as a non-European country or territory?

The English are non-European? Quite right. But the Scottish are true Europeans. Their leader promised  to veto the referendum results http://metro.co.uk/2016/06/26/nicola-sturgeon-says-scotland-could-block-uks-exit-from-eu-5967485/
As wrote many times the Brexit fraud  went up in smoke to produce no impact on the UK to say nothing of the USA. Nothing to discuss.

I think this is hurting Trump now. Americans are hearing about the UK's economic turmoil and seeing Trump praise them as having made the right decision.

The people paying attention to this right now are by and large not swing voters.

My mom had some questions about it and wanted me to clarify but she is definitely not a swing voter this time (one of those who can't stand Hillary or Trump but will definitely vote Hillary). The economic blow back is making the news though.
