Opinion of referring to Hillary Clinton as "Queen"

To be honest, as a straight man who is a strong supporter of LGBTQ rights, it's very offensive to me, because I know that gay Hillary supporters are big fans of Hillary strictly because of their extremely close ideological alignment her on detailed policy issues, NOT because of the superficial factors that make her a gay icon, which actually have no bearing whatsoever on their decision to enthusiastically support her.

It has nothing to do with that. She's being called that as if she's a literal queen, like some people called Bernie Sanders "King"

Is that actually a thing?  I've literally never heard that, even on reddit.
