I guess losing by single digits isn't good enough for Johnson...

He's right, but it's a very impolitic thing to say. Still no chance we can sub Ribble in here?

This is the equivalent of the PA Governor's race in 2014.

I'm sorry, but, in what way a perfectly legal and well-structured pensions system can be compared with a well-structured fraud?

I agree. Both races were / will be somewhat competitive, though almost everyone knew all along the Democrat would win.

People like Vosem and Ron Johnson don't want to subsidize the Poors living past their point of economic viability. Preferably they'd all drop dead from heart attacks at around age 55.

Classic case of the inspirational outsider running off the rails.  Looking back, I can't believe he won so convincingly in 2010.

It was 2010. The angry old white people voting didn't care about individual candidates, they just wanted to "stick it to Obama." Sadly I expect an encore in 2018, with Hitlery subbing in for Obamao.

It's a French word, I think. (Encore means a repeat.)

Maybe with Feingold in the Senate we could get a good libertarian Democratic movement going with people like Jon Tester, Feingold, Ron Wyden, and Jeff Merkley in the Senate. Maybe Begich will return in 2020, too.

Begich only won because Ted Stevens was convicted of a felony sometime after the primary but before the general election. I can't see him coming back. And if Zinke or Racicot take on Tester, all else equal, the race would Tilt R.
