https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/06/24/pro-clinton-super-pac-plans-10-5-million-ad-buy-in-pennsylvania/

Priorities USA will air ads in the three largest markets — Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Scranton — starting on July 5 and running through Election Day

The Pennsylvania purchases bring the super PAC's television reservations to $117.5 million in nine states: Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Colorado, Nevada, New Hampshire, Iowa, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

I still believe that Hillary runs stronger in the state than the polls are showing right now.  The only growth in Pennsylvania is in the Philadelphia area--and this offsets the Pennsyltucky component of the state.

But this is still a good move.  They recognize that Trump stands fairly strong in the Rust Belt right now.  An ad buy of this magnitude will help to prop up Hillary and to bring the Donald down.

10.5 is a lot.  Can Hillary buy up all the ad slots while Trump's twiddling his thumbs, so he can't even get on the airwaves?

He says he doesn't need to raise money anyway

Next target: Senator Pat Toomey.

Pennsylvania usually closes strongly Democratic.

Even if their internal polling shows a less competitive race than other polls are suggesting, this is a good move. Clinton can't afford to lose Pennsylvania, and she might as well make sure that she's in good shape there.

Not to mention that some of the Pittsburgh ad buy should also roll over into key swing areas of SE and Eastern Ohio as well. Or would that be more of Wheeling, WV ad buy?

It looks to be more of a Wheeling ad buy according to this map.

If that's the Nielsen map, I did look at that, although the one you posted has the nice advantage of being able to see where the state lines fall. Smiley

Still, I can't imagine TV signals in the day of cable being able to be so clearly delineated by state lines. Would chucking a few bucks into Wheeling, that I can't imagine being particularly expensive, help in SW PA plus SE OH, or would it basically be a redundant spend with $$$ already going into Pittsburgh?

She should have bought time herself  in PA as well. She is on Pandora/radio in PA but it is hubris not to be on TV in PA. Nevada but not PA - come on Hilary.

It's a SuperPAC, not the same as a PAC.
