Joe Biden is your president. Deal with it.

I been hearing a lot of "I'm voting for Hillary but I won't be wearing any Hillary 2016 shirts" almost everywhere I go.

I wish there was a way to keep track of yard signs. I think there will be far less than there were in recent elections.

This is by far the dumbest poll this month.

You tell me who the average citizen is more afraid of confessing their support for.. a typical media-backed mainstream politician with a beloved ex-president husband or Donald Trump? Close this thread, this isn't a comedy board.

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

'Silent majority' is a rhetorical technique deployed in certain situations leading up to or in the aftermath of certain elections. It's not a consistent, measurable demographic.

Hillary, of course.

A lot of people don't like Hillary but will vote for her as the lesser of two evils.

Well, the answer to this question will end up determining who the next president will be. I think it will come down to which narrative gains traction -- the one making this election a referendum on Trump, or the one making it a referendum on establishment politics. We'll see which of these comes out on top, but I wouldn't be too quick to apply the words "of course" this time around.

If we took the phrase somewhat literally, then the real silent minority now would include a significant amount of non-African American minorities. Working class white voters really aren't all that silent about their grievances anymore, nor are they even close to a majority. In fact, minorities are close to eclipsing the share of the electorate that is the white working class.

Less presidential, but more downballot signs is my guess. I finally saw my first Hillary bumper sticker a few days ago, by the way.

Narrowly for Trump, but as they are 60+, white, and less educated and sophisticated, their share of the electorate is small (and declining).

Well the MSM and elites are certainly doing everything in their power to make sure it's Trump. Even I want the Washington Post to cool it with their 24/7 wall-to-wall anti Trump/Brexit propaganda just so Trump supporters feel like they can make themselves known. We don't want another situation where Trumpeteers are shamed into silence and you get a 45-42 false lead poll like with Brexit, where people were afraid to say a woman's murder didn't change their vote. These 44-39 style swing state polls make me nervous.

Even if the majority ends up standing with Trump, they certainly won't be "silent." So this can only possibly apply for Hillary, like it did in the primaries.
